David and Cari Crossley

David and I have talked so much about our experience with Camp Bob, and we wanted to take a moment to share just how meaningful it was for our family.

What stood out most to us was the genuineness, the love, care and commitment to creating an incredible experience for the children was obvious in every interaction. Every staff member took the responsibility entrusted to them to heart. They went above and beyond to create an environment where the kids could have fun, be themselves, and feel both emotionally and physically safe.

I was genuinely taken aback by the level of care and professionalism we witnessed, and incredibly grateful to experience it firsthand. At a time when people can be quick to question others’ intentions, competency, compassion and respect for one another, Camp Bob would easily challenge the narrative in just one week. There is a very special culture there, and it is something worth protecting.

The children may not fully understand what they experienced right now, but I believe their little spirits picked up on it. As they get older, they will remember how they felt there, the fun, the freedom, the relationships and the people who genuinely cared about them.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful, but the people are what make Camp Bob so special. The commitment it takes to give 100%, around the clock, to create this experience for children is extraordinary. And knowing that there is an intentional focus on reaching children who, for a variety of reasons, may not otherwise have access to an experience like this makes the mission even more meaningful to us.

We are grateful for the leadership, resources and personal investment that go into making Camp Bob what it is. It truly is the kind of experience we wish every child could have, and we are already looking forward to our children experiencing it again next year.
