When I was offered the opportunity to go and be a volunteer at Camp Bob, I was honestly pretty hesitant since I have never even attended a camp before. However, my goal for this year was to do things I would normally be afraid to do. Camp Bob was such an amazing experience especially as a volunteer since it helped me ground myself and remember how happy the simple things in life make me. Being around all the children, the scenery, and even all the staff was such a good environment. I heavily enjoyed helping out with all the children and being involved with the activities. The sense of community at Camp Bob is beautiful and they focus on caring for others and yourself. Being a volunteer at Camp Bob has taught me to be more grounded and move forward even when you don’t know how the result is going to end.
